Ashanti Douglas, popularly called Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York United States on the 13th of October, 1980. She is a singer, songwriter from America and actor. Ashanti began her career as a teenager, and was eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. The same year, she was included on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Ja Rule's single, Always on Time as well as Fat Joe's What's luv? First female artist to be atop the top two positions within the United States, with Foolish first and What's Luv? What's Luv?
